Mrs. Ruby Genell Hall Cantrell, 83, of Talking Rock, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2022.

She was born Feb. 22, 1939, to the late Ira Benton Hall and Martha Proctor Davis. She was a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by husband, James Larry Cantrell; daughters, Debra Kay Cantrell Hyde and Susan Genell Cantrell; and brother, Walden Davis.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Garry Rittenberry, of Talking Rock; grandchildren, Jennifer and Robert Burton, of Talking Rock, Stephanie and Matthew Watkins, of Ellijay, Jessica and Reid Cochran, of Talking
Rock; great-grandchildren, Landon Thomas Burton, Alli Kyndall Burton and Lena Grey Cochran; sisters, Yvonne Rollins, of Bristol, Fla.; Mattie Jane and Rick Henderson, of Wewahitchka, Fla.; sister-in-law, Michae Davis, of Dayton, Texas; brothers, Leland and Michelle Davis, of Tallahassee, Fla.; Joe and Lowanda Davis, of Bristol, Fla.; Harold and Pam Davis, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at the Ellijay Church of Christ with Minister Jeremy Green and  Minister Butch Jones officiating. Pallbearers were Garry Rittenberry, Matthew Watkins, Robert Burton, Reid Cochran, Landon Burton and Cole Parks. Interment will follow at the Ellijay City Cemetery.
