Ms. Pearl Sosebee Martin

Ms. Pearl Sosebee Martin, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 16, 2020, in Fort Collins, Colo.

She was born Feb. 16, 1934, in Blue Ridge, to the late Luther and Ola (Pack) Sosebee. 

She was a member of Calvary Way Baptist Church and attended Promise Land Ministries Church.  She loved her family, volunteering at Cartecay Thrift Store, gardening, working in her puzzle books and loving on her dogs, Rusty and Chance.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Ola (Pack) Sosebee; brothers, Ernest, Grady, Homer C., Arvil, Audlee, Amos, Cecil, Hubert and sister, Radie (Lucy).

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Calvary Way Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Emuel Sanford officiating.  

Pallbearers will be Richard Martin, Phillip Martin, Kenneth Martin, Justin Martin, Zachary Pool, Nathan Pool, Evan Tanner and Ryan Tanner.

She is survived by sister, Ruby Elrod, of Georgia;  children, Richard (Michelle) Martin, Phillip (Susie) Martin, Calvin (Dora) Martin, all of Ellijay, Nancy (Kevin) Pool, of Colorado, Kenneth (Vikki) Martin, of Ellijay, Cathy (Darrell) Tanner, of Covington, and Susan Martin, of North Carolina; grandchildren, Justin Martin, Roseanna Martin, Juan Carlos Martin, Zachary Pool, Nathan Pool, Kendra Martin, Moriah Martin, Essie Martin, Evan Tanner and Ryan Tanner;  great-grandchildren Bailey and Chloe Pool, Ailivia and Thomas Martin.

To honor Pearl’s wishes, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Ms. Martin.
