Mr. Fairest Weldon McArthur, 78, of Talking Rock, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, at his residence.

He was born on Sept. 6, 1944, in Pickens County, to the late David Decature McArthur and Liller Montree Coffey McArthur.

He was employed in Whitestone and proudly served our nation in the United States Army.

He is survived by wife, Dorothy McArthur; son, Rodney McArthur; adopted son, Robert McArthur; adopted daughter, Mae Long; and brother, Jack McArthur.

To honor his wishes, he will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
