Ellen Margaret Winekoff

Mrs. Ellen Margaret Winekoff passed away surrounded by family Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, in Ellijay.

She was born Sept. 4, 1954, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to Hans and Erika Stroh. She loved helping others and her careers as an EMT and pharmacy tech reflected that. She was a private person yet was loved by all who came in contact with her. She will be remembered for her selflessness and her love for God and others.

She is preceded in death by father, Hans Eugen Stroh; and sister-in-law, Silvia Stroh.

She is survived by husband, Jim Winekoff; mother, Erika Stroh; sister and brother-in-law, Sigrid and Kim Belden; sister, Heidrun Tullius; brother and sister-in-law, Peter Stroh and Edeltraut; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jennifer Winekoff; daughters and sons-in-law, Kristen and Erik Marrell and Candace and AJ Adams; nephews and nieces-in-law, Dirk and Melissa Stroh, and Patrick Stroh and Vanessa Hannappel; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in both the United States and Germany.

To honor her wishes, she was cremated, and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date and time.
